Have quite a lot to blog about today. Hmm, let's start with yesterday. It was the last time I ever needed to go back to NIE. Did the longest survey ever. It took almost 3 hours long - no kidding. And it felt like an exam. What with our names printed on labels that were pasted on the booklets that were placed on our assigned seats. Well then after that, went to meet Faizah. We went to Maui Wowi. And that place is like so cool ah. And the drinks were nice! Plus it came with a brolly. Haha. ![]() I can't remember the name of this drink. All I know is that it's a strawberry-banana-kiwi-lime smoothie. Strange combination you may say. But it was a really refreshing drink that was just perfect for a hot suny day. And it's cheaper than Sarbucks too. ^^ Then we hung around some more while waiting for Yano to knock off work, that workaholic. So after she did knock off work, we went to Starbucks and hung around some more. Lol. That's our take on fun. So then we went back home. Cos Yano needed to pack up as she was gonna leave Singapore for Sepang. (the lucky girl!). And she will be there the whole weekend. (the lucky girl!!). And today! I went for my Japanese class, as usual. And then went straight back home. I had just wanted to go wash off the make-up from my face when I received an SMS from Yas. Said she was bored and asked if I was free. So that was how I ended up leaving the house ten minutes later and making my way to City Hall. Then in the train at Pasir Ris, I bumped into Ashiq who was on the way to meet his friends too. And that was when we had the "Ashiq knows everything" conversation. Lol. Well anyway, Yasmin needed her fix of coffee and seeing that Starbucks was teeming with people on a Saturday night like this, I decided to try check Maui Wowi out. XP That place is a life-saver la. There was barely anyone and it felt really peaceful there! Not to mention that we got to see a display of fireworks that was coming from the Marina area. We had no idea what the occassion was. Still, it was a pretty sight. After hanging around for quite some time, we then had dinner and went back home. And I have to say this. In a feeble attempt to try burn off whatever calories that I have consumed at KFC earlier, I walked home from the train station. Well not really actually.. The night just felt perfect to take a long walk in, that's all. I just felt like walking back home. I did. And I enjoyed it. ^^ Oh yes, this was Yasmin's drink just now. They do it prettier than Gloria Jean's don't you think?Much fancier and very in line with their Hawaiian concept. Okie, am off to complete my Japanese homework! XD |
