What a day.Went for the cousin's wedding earlier in the day. It was not SO bad. Well, at least it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong though. It's not that I hate weddings, it's just that I don't have any geng, or any relatives that are around my age group. They are all either too old or too young for me to socialise with. So I always end up not knowing what to do or where to go and stuff like that. But today, the whole family -whole, meaning just my family- sat at a table and we sat there till we were about to go home. We socialised internally instead. Heh. And then, after that, my brother dropped me off at Ana's place cos there was the I-word meeting. Quite urgent and last minute I should say. Then had dinner at Newton. Where a lizard got stuck to me. (Yet again, you may say). I shall not dwell on this further cos I'm still not so cool about it. Ok, next. We then headed to Jalan Kayu to get some drinks. Bumped into Hamdani and chatted for a while. And then went to Seletar Reservoir to just sit around. Me: You know, from my uncle's place in Punggol, you can actually see the Singapore Flyer?? :D (I really had the excited face on) And I thought everyone would appreciate the interesting fact that I had just blurted out. But no. This was what Ashiq had to say: Pembohong besar. (Big liar) Actually, he said many other things. But the "pembohong besar" phrase was all I could register cos it felt so accusatory. And his facial expression looked like he really meant it la. Hahaha. If he had said "you big, fat liar", it wouldn't be so bad. But saying it in Malay just made it all sound so serious. LOL. And funny too, on hindsight which was like half a minute later. And for the record, you can really see the Singapore Flyer from Punggol. No kidding. And I might just bring Ashiq to Punggol to clear my name. But thanks to that little incident, plus the minor airy incident *winkwink*, it was a very fun night. We laughed so hard. Ana and me had chest pains and Yano even had stitches. Way to go. |
